In 1965, Luigi Brunetti brought this philosophy to Germany, settling in Neu-Isenburg, just outside Frankfurt. Here, for over twenty-five years, his restaurant stood as an absolute landmark for Italian fine dining abroad.
Through a meticulous selection of raw materials, rigorous technique, and a hospitality that was as elegant as it was sincere, Luigi Brunetti conquered the German public and an elite international clientele. It was never just a restaurant; it was a true embassy of Italian taste and warmth in the world.
After years of extraordinary success in Europe, the pull of their roots brought the Brunetti family back to Italy in 1985. They chose Collemezzano, nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside and just moments away from the prestigious Bolgheri vineyards. Luigi purchased a magnificent agricultural estate and lovingly named it after his wife, Elisabetta.
Originally a family home nestled among centuries-old olive groves and vineyards, in the 1990s the estate opened its doors to travellers as an Agrihotel to share the authenticity of rural life. Today, that visionary project has evolved and blossomed into Tenuta Elisabetta, a destination where two souls coexist in perfect harmony. On one side is the innovation of the new Resort—with its elegant suites, Spa, and modern event spaces—and on the other is the rustic charm of the historic Agrihotel.
